The team works in a hybrid environment to balance work and life, and we support your career growth with opportunities to contribute ideas and influence outcomes.Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.The TeamGovernment & Communities focuses on infrastructure needs of municipalities, state and local governments, and specialized infrastructure solutions for government and federal dustrial Water delivers lifecycle water, wastewater, and stormwater projects for heavy commercial and industrial clients, balancing schedule, budget, sustainability, regulatory compliance, and community relations.Check out a recent project example: Data Center Owner Overcomes Complex Water Challenges and Achieves Sustainability Goals.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness development: Lead marketing efforts, strategy development, identify prospects, prepare proposals, present to clients, manage project budgeting and contracting; accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance.Project management: Interact with clients, participate in client activities, develop market plans, engage resources to advance Black & Veatch’s market footprint.Project execution: Oversee engineering managers, set project performance goals, manage implementation, collaborate with internal teams and owner representatives; perform or assist with budgeting, invoicing, and payments; lead project performance reviews.Staff management: Develop and mentor team, identify training and promotion opportunities, recruit new candidates to grow the team.Management ResponsibilitiesActs as a project manager with responsibility for managing a project team; team composition may vary by project.QualificationsPreferred Qualifications20+ years of active water/wastewater experience with demonstrated leadership in the industrial sectorProfessional Engineering License; Bachelor’s Degree in a technical disciplineUnderstanding of budgets and financial metricsContract negotiation skills including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment termsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
