Lead Investigator, Compliance — GXO Logistics, Inc.Strong leadership, management, and customer service are the heart of our operations. As a Lead Investigator, Compliance you will be an individual contributor responsible for the management of Compliance investigations globally within the organization from intake to completion. You will also be responsible for providing oversight for other internal investigations as well as managing outside counsel and other investigation-related vendors, where needed. This role will work closely and collaboratively with other functions within the company to investigate and remediate complex violations of company policy, including Legal, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Finance, IT, Safety, and Security.What You’ll Do On a Typical DayServe as Lead investigator on domestic and international investigations involving allegations of discrimination and harassment; conflicts of interest; fraud, waste, and abuse of company resources; accounting irregularities; and other violations of company policyConduct thorough, timely, and objective investigations, including but not limited to initial case assessment and triage; document preservation, collection, review, and analysis; leading witness interviews; the development of findings and proposed remediation; drafting investigative reports; and presenting investigation findings and proposed remediation to stakeholders on these mattersAct as a global point of contact for advice and mentorship on investigation issues for your area of responsibility while reviewing, implementing, and providing training on internal investigation procedures and related compliance controls and policiesRecommend corrective action, post-investigation improvement and support strategies, and other remediation as required, including policy changes to address issues identified during investigationsLiaise directly with GXO leadership to provide investigation updates and align on next steps and remediation, as appropriateLeverage data to identify trends and opportunities and develop reports, metrics, and other materials as needed for regular updates on internal investigations to a variety of stakeholdersSupport the GXO Ethics & Compliance team through the monitoring of risk management systems and supporting systems and controls, conducting risk assessments, and designing and implementing remedial and risk mitigation measuresApply consistent and repeatable process oversight while engaging stakeholders to understand monitoring activities, audits, and associated controls for quality assurance with the different Compliance department areasSupport the integration of new markets and business units into the compliance investigation program as the company continues to growPartner closely and proactively with internal audit, legal and SOX leadersWhat You Need To Succeed At GXOAt a minimum, you’ll need:Bachelor’s degree in a related field7-10 years of experience conducting investigationsExperience with Navex EthicsPoint or equivalent case management softwareExperience with Microsoft OfficeStrong ability to convey findings, facts, and other information with excellent written and oral communication skillsStrong emotional intelligence and conflict management skillsFamiliarity with regulatory requirements for internal investigation programs (i.e. U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, Dodd-Frank, Sarbanes-Oxley, EU Whistleblowing Directive)Comfort working across time zones and regionsTravel Requirement: averaging 25%It’d Be Great If You Also HaveJD strongly preferredAdditional Language Skills; Spanish a plusCertified Fraud Examiner (CFE) CertificationExperience working for a multinational companyKnowledge of audit, financial and accounting conceptsGXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
