Job Description

The Eagle Chamber of Commerce is a vibrant, growing community of member businesses and nonprofit organizations from across the greater Eagle region and beyond. With a packed schedule of networking opportunities, events, and educational opportunities, the Executive Director spearheads the Chamber’s effort to serve as a constant support and resource for business and non-profit organizations of all types and sizes.The Executive Director role requires a uniquely-qualified professional who is as comfortable being the ‘face’ of the organization as they are completing financial analysis and strategic planning efforts to ensure the Chamber continues to be successful for years to come. Self-motivation and poise are a must, as are an ability to organize, plan, lead and manage at both a macro and micro levels.Primary Accountabilities:Serves as the chief administrative officer for the Eagle Chamber of CommerceManages Chamber business within the framework of an established budget developed and approved by the Board of Directors, to include managing Chamber income and expenses to achieve annual budgeted net income goals and approving all financial disbursements for the Chamber, among other duties.Oversees all aspects of the Chamber Office.Directly manages Chamber office staff, including running payroll, managing schedules, providing performance feedback and delivering annual performance reviews.Provides general supervision over work performed for the Chamber by volunteers, vendors, etc.Plans and maintains the Chamber master event calendar for major Chamber sponsored events, Ribbon Cuttings, Board of Directors meetings and Executive Board of Directors meetings.Secures sponsorships for all Chamber Events and meetings that require sponsorshipsActively engages the Eagle businesses and non-profit community as a brand ambassador for the Chamber, to include promoting the benefits of a Chamber membership and listening and responding to the needs of the member businesses, resulting in new members joining the Chamber and retention of existing members.Serves on Board of Directors Subcommittees as a liaison or as otherwise directed by the Board.Oversees the planning and execution of all Chamber events, including scheduling, logistics, recruiting volunteers, sponsorships, advertising, maintaining budget, etc.Oversees Chamber social media activities via Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other appropriate social media channels.Oversees maintenance and content of Chamber websiteProvides strategic analysis of Chamber operations and events, continually evaluating for profitability, cost benefit, alignment with Chamber mission, popularity, etc. and making recommendations accordingly.Continually assesses Chamber efforts to engage and provide value to Chamber membership, generating new ideas and initiatives to ensure expectations and interests of members are being met.Other duties as assignedAdditional Responsibilities:Acts as a liaison between the Eagle Chamber and the City of Eagle by attending City Council Meeting as needed, coordinating Eagle Chamber office usage, assist with City-hosted events as needed, and coordinates with Eagle Police Department and/or Fire and EMS on major events where necessaryProvides customer service for Chamber members and the general publicQualifications:Outstanding public speaking and presentation skillsOutstanding time management and event planning skillsStrong ability to listen, receive feedback, foster teamwork and collaboration between Board members, staff, Chamber members, community leaders and strategic committees and organizations in the greater Eagle area.Strong executive and supervisory skills, including ability to set expectations and manage performance, plan, organize, lead, delegate, and monitor.Demonstrates a passion for collaboration and networking.Ability to work a wide and flexible range of business hoursDemonstrated success with and willingness to do fund raisingStrong business acumen, including demonstrated ability to manage a budget, analyze organizational performance and project financial performance.Proficient user knowledge of computer operating systemsAbility to lead by personal involvement and example, but uses delegation wisely.Strong Commitment to personal growthCommitment to the best business practice for the ChamberProfessional Experience:Minimum 2-5 years management/executive level experience in a business-related field of other leadership position, including supervision of professional staff and oversight of finances.Minimum of 3 years P&L responsibilitySkills:Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Social Media platforms, and quickbooks.Experience with ChamberMaster is plusThis is a part-time position and the hours are flexible, however, attendance at the evening and weekend events will be required, in addition to the office pensation will be based on experience and education. A review will be completed in six months and yearly after.
