Overview Director, Commercial Excellence at The Lubrizol Corporation. Division: Lubrizol Surface Sciences and Lubrizol Engineered Materials. Reports To: Vice President, Strategy and Commercial Excellence. Job Type: Hybrid, Full-Time. What You'll Do As the Director of Commercial Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing commercial operations by implementing best-in-class commercial processes supported by robust governance around processes and data. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy and Commercial Excellence, you will lead initiatives across various commercial functions to optimize: Customer segmentation Customer terms and conditions Salesforce effectiveness and CRM Opportunities pipeline management Key account management Contracts lifecycle management (CLM) Demand planning Commercial standard work Governance, process improvement, and identification of best practices across business units One Lubrizol processes and tools for continuous improvement Exploration of advanced analytics use cases (e.g., predictive churn, lead prioritization, cross-sell/up-sell) and applicable AI/ML initiatives Lead the organization to best-in-class business processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and drive value. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. Minimum of ten years of experience in a multinational business environment. Strong process orientation with a track record of implementing process improvements. Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills. Strong analytical skills and business acumen; experience with financial statements, financial modeling, and pricing scenarios preferred. Agility and adaptability to balance enterprise priorities and evolving business needs. Demonstrated expertise in B2B commercial functions, including pricing, key account management, and contract management. Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences. Demonstrated leadership and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams; change management capability. Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights. Knowledge of SAP is highly preferred. Familiarity with the specialty chemicals industry is a plus.
