OverviewSr. Associate Director, Ride to End Alz role at Alzheimer's Association. This position serves as a member of the Ride to End Alzheimer’s team under the Vice President, Constituent Events, to expand the cycling fundraising initiative for the Association. Location: Nation’s Capital region; staff must be located in the Washington, D.C. area.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for driving the success of a large Ride to End ALZ event. Lead a team of dynamic volunteer leaders to achieve revenue goals through engagement with corporate and community volunteer leaders.As a community mobilizer and networker, exponentially increase brand awareness by cultivating relationships with key C-suite corporate and community partners.Recruit, coach and empower volunteers to ensure strong volunteer committee retention and succession planning for multi-year event success.Coach and inspire volunteers, teams and cyclists to set fundraising goals that propel the event to be among the country’s most successful.Develop recruitment plan and manage recruitment of volunteer committee members, teams and participants for multiple ride locations.Develop engagement and fundraising plan; manage engagement of committee members, teams and participants at multiple ride locations.Plan, develop and execute recruitment, fundraising and online training materials for participants and volunteers; become an online fundraising expert on our platforms.Expand the cycling program’s profile by developing relationships within the organization and identifying cycling partners (clubs, event organizers, retailers) for multiple ride locations.Qualifications (Requirements)Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience.7+ years of experience in nonprofit development/management with a proven track record in large peer-to-peer fundraising events; cycling or fundraising, rider recruitment, volunteer management, and event marketing.Proven experience recruiting C-suite volunteers, participant recruitment, volunteer committee management, and ability to translate experience into a cycling curriculum.Excellent communication and customer service skills with a focus on sales and marketing understanding.Team player with ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers; collaborative.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment; strong time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; able to handle diversified assignments and adapt as needed.Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present and teach effectively.Ability to work independently and take initiative; self-starter with understanding of recruitment and fundraising.Experience with various computer systems and databases; proficient in Microsoft Office.
