Job Description

OverviewGeneral Manager, Doughnut Factory at Krispy Kreme. The Plant Manager is responsible for every doughnut factory operation, including production, sanitation, food safety, FDA compliance, maintenance, shipping and human resources. This role involves developing a capable staff, achieving profitability, and ensuring customer and employee satisfaction. The position requires a thorough understanding of production processes and maintaining high quality products while ensuring employee safety.ResponsibilitiesSupervise all areas of the doughnut factoryEnsure adequate staffing for all positionsMaintain operations in accordance with Krispy Kreme standardsEnsure employees perform their jobs safely and correctlyPerform tasks as needed to cover absent employeesSchedulingOversee customer service-related activities to meet quality standards and customer satisfactionServe as a role model for customer-first behaviors and coach a customer-focused teamHandle difficult customer situations professionally and respond to inquiries in a timely mannerSupervise production, sanitation, maintenance and shipping operationsEnsure loadout and delivery logistics are completed timelyMaintain building and grounds in good conditionImplement procedures to maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily productionCoordinate production schedules to meet demand and minimize labor hoursInspect, troubleshoot and address production or equipment issuesDemonstrate safety consciousness and promote store safety practicesMaintain high levels of sanitation and cleanliness, including training and schedulesOversee proper maintenance of production and material handling equipmentRecruit, train, schedule, supervise, and develop employees; enforce store policiesCommunicate store policies, standards, and practices to staffManage expense budgets and corporate reporting documentation (financial and operational)Protect company assets and manage resources efficientlyManage deposits, accounts receivable and other financial duties as requiredQualificationsHigh school diploma required; college degree a plus (Operations, Supply Chain Management or Engineering preferred)5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; food or packaging experience preferredKnowledge of Food Safety and FDA compliance requirementsExperience in sales, management, production, employee safety and customer serviceStrong communication, organizational and leadership skillsSelf-motivated, creative and adaptableMicrosoft Office proficiencyBenefitsWeekly payComprehensive benefits (medical, vision, dental)Employee discount program401K planPTOEducation reimbursement and adoption assistanceLife insurance and FSA/HSA optionsAbout Krispy Kreme and Equal OpportunityKrispy Kreme is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
