North Point Technology is looking to hire a Devops Engineer to work on an AWS systems team. The qualified candidate must have an active TS security clearance, and will work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership to implement the next generation desktop and web based production and dissemination system. This position will require experience standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in a cloud environments, and the deployment and maintenance of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments.This program requires employees to have an active TS clearanceResponsibilities:Lead systems administration and DevOps activitiesSupport development and delivery of innovative systems for:AnalyticsProductionDisseminationUtilize web, remote desktop, and cloud technologiesBuild and configure Windows instancesPerform deployments across development, test, and operational environmentsApply system patches and perform maintenanceTroubleshoot technical issuesCollaborate with internal development teams, external partners, and enterprise componentsRequired Skills/Experience:Requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degreeMust possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hireDoD 8570 complianceExperience with cloud/Amazon Web services (AWS)Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating SystemsSystem (hardware, software and networking) Design and Architecture.Understanding of custom code development/reviewsUnderstanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflowExperience developing and managing CI/CD pipelinesExperience with GITLAB functionality, error codes and scriptingExperience with RedHat OpenShiftExperience developing webapps with PythonProactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication anizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to munications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing.
