As a Realtime Engine Technology engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and developing real-time interactive software that powers our immersive experiences, enabling seamless and intuitive interactions between users and virtual environments. ResponsibilitiesDevelop efficient and reusable systems that drive complex realtime interactive softwareBuild technologies that empower developers to create compelling experiencesOptimize and debug real-time systems to ensure smooth performanceSet a high quality bar to make our technology easy and delightful for developers to useEngage in depth collaboration with partner teams to drive successful product outcomes Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years software development experience in industry settings or PhD with 2+ years of experience3+ years developing features within 3D real-time interactive products in industry settingsExperience with systems programming languages such as C++, Rust, or similar languagesProven problem-solving skills and experience working independently and collaborativelyEffective communication and interpersonal skills Preferred QualificationsExperience building engine-level systems for 3D real-time interactive engines (Unity 3D, Unreal, Frostbite, or other/proprietary)Experience building for virtual reality (Rift, Quest, VIVE, Valve Index, etc.) or mixed/augmented reality (HoloLens, Magic Leap, ARKit, ARCore etc.)Experience developing SDKs or shared technology that balances the needs of multiple shipping productsExperience with performance optimization of real-time applications (CPU, GPU, Memory, etc. )In-depth understanding of one or more real-time engine components ( Rendering, Collision, Physics, Input Processing, Audio, Animation, Networking, etc.)Proven understanding of 3D math, linear algebra and physics CompensationPublic Compensation: $70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Industry: Internet Equal OpportunityEqual Opportunity: Meta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
