OverviewSenior - Principal Engineer - Municipal Water Conveyance & Storage role at West Yost. Hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Preference for Lake Oswego or Medford, OR offices; will consider other office locations for the right candidate.Location & ScheduleLocation: Lake Oswego, OR or Medford, OR (hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote).Compensation & BenefitsCompensation range: $117,050 to $175,230 for candidates in Lake Oswego, OR. Geographic salary differentials apply for other regions. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSAs/HSA with West Yost contribution, paid vacation, paid sick leave and holidays, 2 employee assistance programs, travel assistance, 401(k) with employer match, parental leave, life/AD&D, short- and long-term disability, pet insurance, and wellness programs.ResponsibilitiesOversee and assist team members with water infrastructure planning and design tasks.Perform complex engineering tasks: designs, reports, construction drawings, specifications, and calculations.Review designs for compliance with engineering principles, standards, and contractual requirements.Develop proposals and budgets for lower-risk/scoped engineering efforts.Meet with clients to define project scope, staffing estimates, and fees; maintain client contact throughout projects.Balance workload projections and coordinate with engineers and managers to manage staff capacity.Mentor and train Associate Engineers, Engineers, and Engineering Interns; conduct technical reviews of staff work.Prepare specifications, contract documents, and opinions of probable cost and construction schedules; act as project manager or team member on larger projects.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.12+ years of relevant experience.Excellent writing and communication skills; experience with CAD and GIS.Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (preferred).TravelThis position may require travel to other offices and/or client sites. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive for business.
