OverviewDirector, Information Technology - Clinical Research. Alcanza is a growing multi-site, multi-phase clinical research company with locations in MA, NH, MI, VA, SC, FL, GA, AL, MO, TX and Puerto Rico. We have established a strong presence across Phase I-IV studies and several therapeutic areas including vaccine, neurology, dermatology, psychiatry, and general medicine. Join us as we continue to grow.Department: Information TechnologyLocation: Alcanza CorporateResponsibilitiesServes as an advisor to the leadership team on complex matters such as technology strategy, technology innovation, risk management and security and compliance; stays current on the latest technology trends and innovation in clinical research.Supports the development of a technology and innovation strategy and leads the implementation of key initiatives to enable excellence in patient recruitment and engagement, study startup and delivery, and shared services across a multi-site operation.Leads implementation projects of complex enterprise systems (CTMS and eSource, eRegulatory, GL, CRM & marketing automation, HRIS, and others) leveraging a network of subject matter experts to bring efficiency and scale.Supports acquisition activities and leads consolidation and system integration projects to realize expected synergies and build a platform for scale.Attracts, develops, mentors, and supports a team of technology professionals and fosters a culture of high-performance and cross-functional collaboration.Develops an annual operating budget in support of overall company objectives and oversees all aspects of IT operations to ensure performance and service excellence.Leads the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality, security, high availability, and integrity of data on company networks and systems.Leads the development of an Information Security program and collaborates with 3rd party auditing firms to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines (HIPAA, CCPA, and others) and mitigate security and privacy risks.Establishes a network of IT vendors and uses a hybrid partner model for developing cloud-based infrastructure, telecommunications systems, and building out a service desk to ensure stability and high availability of the network.Assumes ownership of IT issues, ensuring production issues are routed to resolution promptly.Assumes people management responsibilities including interviewing, performance appraisals, job descriptions, coaching, and other employee meetings; manages department staff and resolves issues to ensure successful operations and culture.Oversees resourcing allocations, assignments and team performance to ensure deliverables are on track, addressing risks and timelines as needed.Performs other duties as required.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field and 8+ years’ experience in an IT leadership role with management responsibility of internal staff and vendors, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Experience with clinical research systems (CTMS, Source, Regulatory, etc.) and/or health information systems (EHRs, EMRs, or Practice Management) is required. Demonstrated experience in leading teams and executing against goals with an executive mindset. Understanding of HIPAA Privacy and Security rules and regulatory guidelines in clinical research.Required Skills:Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft products, email, EHR/EMR systems, web applications, and ability to type 40+ WPM.Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and project management skills to meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.Strong interpersonal and listening skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams, clients and sponsors at all levels.Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing workloads and priorities.Professionalism, integrity, dependability, respect for others, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.Ability to work under minimal supervision and implement solutions to problems.Ability to handle highly sensitive information confidentially, in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.BenefitsFull-time employees regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week are benefits-eligible, with coverage starting on the first day of the month following date of hire.Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, health savings accounts, supplemental insurances, and a 401k plan with a safe harbor match are offered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
