As part of our team, you'll work on cutting-edge solutions that power the hybrid cloud and interact with our largest customers to shape the future of our industry-leading platform.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop platform features for highly scalable, distributed Kubernetes-based systemsCreate and maintain Kubernetes operators and custom controllers using GoOptimize Kubernetes clusters for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiencyIntegrate Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines for streamlined application packagingImplement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutionsTroubleshoot complex issues related to Kubernetes clusters, applications, and servicesApply advanced Kubernetes design patternsDevelop automation tools and scripts for Kubernetes deploymentsCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of Kubernetes solutionsRequirementsBachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experienceMaster's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experienceDeep understanding of Kubernetes concepts, components, and APIsExtensive experience with container technologies and orchestration toolsStrong programming skills in Go, with additional expertise in Python or JavaExperience building and operating large-scale distributed systemsProficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm)Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters, building operators, CRDs, and controllersSolid understanding of networking concepts and Kubernetes networkingKnowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus and GrafanaContributions to open-source projects, particularly in the Kubernetes ecosystemStrong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skillsJoin our team and help shape the future of hybrid cloud computing with VMware Cloud Foundation.
