We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who will bring curiosity, product thinking, strong execution focus and a desire to uplevel the people around them to our team. Why we need you In this role, you’ll bring deep expertise in building and scaling services at scale in the cloud. You have experience working in a team environment partnering across engineering, product & design, you are highly collaborative and embrace a learning mindset and can-do attitude. You are also not afraid to dive deep into existing code, refactor if necessary and solve customer problems. You’ll ensure high standards of ownership, execution and quality. You’ll report to the Senior Engineering Manager for the Ecosystems team. A day in the life of a Full Stack Engineer at Calendly As a senior engineer at Calendly, you will both build new features and work to scale our platform and architecture. You will learn to work with multiple technologies and platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, TypeScript, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, DataDog, Cursor to name a few. You will build tooling and automation to fine tune our delivery process as you grow into a service oriented specialist. On a Typical Day, You Will Be Working To Build composable services with TypeScript (Node), Ruby (Rails), Go, and/or Python Collaborate within your team to plan and build new features Review Implementation Plans (IP) and pull requests (PR) of teammates, and incorporate their feedback Contribute to platform scaling initiatives and drive a microservices style architecture Develop RESTful and event-driven APIs for internal and external use Partner regularly with engineers, product managers, and designers to write implementation plans and execute on requirements Attend agile ceremonies to help your team plan and deliver Work across squads to improve Engineering practices at Calendly Use advanced AI tools, including Cursor, to analyze and navigate the codebase, generate code, and automate repetitive tasks Participate in on-call rotation and solve customer issues What we need from you 7+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company Strong ability to rapidly learn new languages and technologies; adaptability Experience as a technical leader or SME in a functional area on a team Experience with retrospectives, owning responsibility, and communicating with kindness Experience building modular, composable service architectures using Node, Go, or Python with various back-end data stores Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (microservices); migrating from monolith to microservices is a plus Ability to craft simple software solutions to complex problems Commitment to clean, reliable, maintainable code Collaborative mindset in a small engineering team with results-oriented approach Authorized to work lawfully in the United States (Calendly does not sponsor immigration) What’s in it for you? Equity, salary, and benefits Note: The ranges below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change. Calendly considers factors such as experience, skills, location, and internal pay equity. Base salary is one component of total rewards, which may include Top Performer Bonus, equity, and benefits. Tier 1 Salary Range: $224,400 - $283,800 Tier 2 Salary Range: $205,700 - $260,150 Tier 3 Salary Range: $187,000 - $236,500 Calendly uses remote work location ZIP codes or onsite location to determine pay ranges. Current geographic tiers are listed below: Tier 1: San Francisco, CA; San Jose, CA; New York City, NY Tier 2: Chicago, IL; Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Boston, MA; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia, PA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Miami, FL; and all other cities in CA Tier 3: All other locations All full-time employees are eligible for our benefits and programs.
