Role OverviewWe are seeking a Data Scientist to help establish a new capability within an existing supply chain-focused division. This will be the first dedicated data science hire in the group, so the role requires a self-starter who can independently design, build, and scale machine learning and AI solutions from the ground up.Job DetailsJob Title: Data ScientistLocation: Dallas, TXSalary Range: $135,000 - $150,000Benefits: Healthcare, PTO, 401kYou’ll work on high-impact projects across forecasting, allocation, and inventory management, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver measurable improvements in supply chain performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop AI/ML models: design, develop, and optimize machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) models for allocation, planning, forecasting, and inventory managementData processing: extract, clean, and preprocess large datasets from multiple supply chain systems for model training and evaluationFeature engineering: create and select meaningful features that improve model performance based on supply chain domain knowledgeModel deployment: build scalable pipelines to deploy models into production, ensuring smooth integration with existing systemsPerformance monitoring: continuously monitor and tune models to maintain accuracy and adapt to changing business needsCollaboration: partner with cross-functional teams (inventory, planning, merchandising, and engineering) to turn business requirements into technical solutionsAutomation: develop automated workflows for data ingestion, model retraining, and reportingDocumentation: maintain clear documentation of models, data sources, assumptions, and workflowsInnovation: stay current with emerging AI/ML techniques and evaluate their application to supply chain challengesProblem solving: identify inefficiencies in supply chain processes and propose AI-driven improvementsEssential Skills & Qualifications5+ years of data science or advanced analytics experienceStrong programming in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)SQL and data manipulation expertiseFamiliarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)Experience with time series forecasting and demand planning algorithmsKnowledge of supply chain concepts (inventory management, allocation, lead times)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and MLOps practicesStrong analytical and communication skillsComfort working as a solo contributor, building solutions where no playbook yet existsBrilliant Staffing, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
