ResponsibilitiesImplements and supports technical solutions for agency-wide mission-critical server hosting environments and services.Collaborates with IT and business staff to consult, plan, analyze, provide recommendations, and implement solutions.Performs maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, and health checks of DOR IT systems, analyzes problems, implements resolutions, and suggests improvements.Patches server infrastructure and hosting environments by planning, testing, deploying, and monitoring system availability after stalls, tests, validates, deploys, upgrades, maintains, and manages the agency/'s virtual server hosting environments, applications, and processes.Tests new infrastructure, applications, technical changes, and upgrades.Ensures server and storage systems comply with IRS and OCIO requirements.The ideal candidate will possess knowledge, skills, and abilities in the areas listed below, including expert-level knowledge where noted. Recent experience in the administration of hyper-converged infrastructure and virtual server hosting environments.Recent experience with server operating systems, server hardware, and server software applications, including computer network infrastructure technology, network operating systems, and virtualization technology.Translating technical options into business terms and providing business solutions to critical business problems.
