Resideo is making a large investment in our engineering group and we invite you to join a team of intelligent innovators developing embedded products that align with our mission of protecting what matters most.Job dutiesDesign and develop firmware for existing/new productsConducting failure analysis, implementing firmware updates, and collaborating with various teamsProviding technical support and sustaining engineering effortsCreate reports and technical documentationPrototyping proofs of conceptYou must haveExperience in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field3+ years of embedded systems development, debugging, and testingDeveloping and maintaining embedded applications with C++, object-oriented programming, multi-threaded programming, socket programming, and inter-process communicationWe valueWorking with a test team to diagnose and debug issuesExperience developing software in Linux environments using command lineStrong understanding of ARM-based platforms, Python, JSON, JIRA, GIT, Confluence, Bamboo, Crucible, and Microsoft Visual Studio/EclipseParticipating in architectural designs and discussionsUnderstanding of graphical user interfaces on embedded systemsStrong critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication; ability to work collaboratively or independentlyExperience working in a Scrum team and being detail-oriented and self-drivenExperience in embedded software architectures and strong collaborative skillsPassionate about new technologiesAbout usResideo is a global manufacturer, developer, and distributor of technology-driven sensing and control solutions for homes and buildings.
