The Merchandise Space Planner is a critical role in the success of the overall space merchandising strategy. This position will partner with various departments from Category Management and Store Operations to Inventory and Marketing to drive results through effective planograms and presentation. The Merchandise Space Planner assists with setting planograms and visually representing the merchandise in a way that supports the category strategy.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Create, execute and update planograms across all categories supporting all stores in line with the overall space merchandising strategy of the organizationAnalyze, develop, recommend and execute category specific space merchandisingWork closely with Category Managers on overall space merchandising strategyLocal, area and regional schematic creation and updates for all StoresAct as a champion and advocate for the Stores in collaboration with all departmentsEstablish relationships with Store management teams to be a resource for space constraint solutionsWork with Field Space Execution Team to manage new store planning and relationship between Stores to coordinate direction of resets and reset scheduleInternal relationship building and selling of space merchandising concepts and recommendationsPartner to develop fixture needs to better utilize space constraintsMaintain product data integrity for all items as it relates to planogram processAdditional duties as assigned by managementScope:Staff supervision and development – NoDecision Making – Provides data for decision supportTravel – 10%Location – Corporate HQ / LocalAbout the companyHarbor Freight Tools is a privately held discount tool and equipment retailer, headquartered in Calabasas, California, which operates a chain of retail stores, as well as a mail-order and e-commerce business.NoticeTalentify is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
