Senior Life Safety Systems Drafter / BIM DesignerJoin Jacobs as a Senior Life Safety Systems Drafter / BIM Designer. We're looking for someone excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. This hybrid position is ideally based in Austin, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Portland, OR, Pittsburgh, PA, or Albany, NY.Your impact will be significant as you perform computer-aided drafting and design of Life Safety and Security Systems for our client's advanced facilities. Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP, you'll create a 3D model space in coordination with architects and engineers. From those 3D BIM models, you'll assist the designers with layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security and Intrusion detection systems.Responsibilities include delivering complex packages in coordination with multi-discipline engineers and design leads. You'll thrive as part of a vibrant, dynamic team that delivers world-class designs for well-known clients around the world.To be successful, you'll need:High school graduate or equivalentAt least 10 years of AutoCAD experience (preferably Revit experience)Ideally, you'll also have:3-5 years of systems design experienceKnowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling CodeKnowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer's equipmentIndustrial design experienceAutodesk Certification Professional ACP or other drafting technologies certificationsOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
