Sales Director - Industrial Supply

Our team of experts raise the bar.The Sales Director is responsible for managing all sales associates and the sales efforts of the Permian Basin sales department, while managing and growing their own portfolio of accounts. The Sales Director is the primary driver for market strategy, cultivating new business and growing wallet share within the current portfolio. This position requires a true competitor and someone with a proven track record of profitable growth and a sense of urgency. The Sales Director will work closely with customers and suppliers to become a valued partner in mutually beneficial business.Essential FunctionsOverseeing and managing a team of sales representatives within the Permian Basin territoryManage a designated territory with existing and potential customersContact current and prospective customers to solicit business ordersSourcing new sales opportunities through cold callingDevelop market strategyMeeting revenue and margin goals as established by Chief Sales OfficerRecommend products to customers, based upon customer/'s needs and interestsMaintain records, reports and notes on daily orders, phone conversations with customersKeep ahead of industry/'s developments and apply best practices to areas of improvementResolves customer challenges through investigation, developing solutions and making recommendations to managementBuild and maintain customer relationships; provide customer support with technical product information and preparing thorough and accurate quotes, order acknowledgements, samples, etc.Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with all company productsCollaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfactionComply with all company rules, policies and proceduresExperience, Education and SkillsHS Diploma or EquivalentBachelor/'s degree in a related field is preferred3-5 years outside sales experience in industrial distribution2+ years of supervisory experience of an outside sales team is preferredDemonstrated knowledge and sales experience within the hose and pipe industry is preferredStrong leadership skillsAbility to work independentlyMechanically inclined, willing and able to work in industrial settingsStrong organizational and follow up skillsValid Driver/'s LicenseWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer M/F/V/D.
