OverviewRoyal Manufacturing is seeking a Territory Manager to join our growing Sales Team. In this role, you will represent Royal Manufacturing with national and local builders, developing strategic account plans to expand market share, increase revenue, and deliver margin growth. The Territory Manager (TM) is responsible for managing and growing a defined sales territory, representing Royal Manufacturing to divisions of national and local builders. This role requires the ability to develop, maintain, and execute strategic account plans to drive market share expansion, revenue growth, and margin improvement. The TM must possess strong knowledge of Royal’s products and services to effectively assess customer needs and deliver tailored solutions using the Royal Direct Sales Model. Success in this role is demonstrated by achieving or exceeding revenue and gross margin targets, fostering long-term customer relationships, and implementing strategies to expand Royal’s regional presence. Responsibilities Partner with Sales Leadership to identify, acquire, and expand relationships with national builders and key accounts. Develop and maintain key target lists to identify growth opportunities. Generate revenue and profit through sales of Royal-branded products in the Single-Family and Multifamily building markets. Prepare and execute territory business plans for targeted customers and opportunities. Build and sustain strong customer relationships using the Royal Direct Sales Model. Monitor market conditions to design growth strategies within the assigned territory. Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities. Prepare and present regular reports to Sales Leadership and Territory Manager peers. Recommend improvements to sales processes and strategies to drive performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Pricing, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. Maintain working knowledge of all Royal divisions and product lines. Track industry and building trends, market shifts, competitor strategies, and customer needs. Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience. Experience Minimum of 4 years of sales experience in the building products industry, with progressive responsibility. Proven success in direct-model sales within the construction industry. In-depth understanding of the U.S. residential building industry. Strong knowledge of market dynamics, including trends and competitor programs. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats with diverse audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong follow-up and follow-through skills.
