Job DescriptionTMB, Inc has a contingent opportunity for a Project Controller. The Project Controller will perform duties including processing all day-to-day accounting activities, managing the financial performance of contracts, and ensuring all transactions conform with federal, state, and local regulations. The Project Controller will report directly to the Division General Manager.ResponsibilitiesProcess project expense costs and revenue postings in conjunction with accounting.Review and validate the invoicing process for assigned contracts to ensure all invoices are generated, processed, and submitted to customers.Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures.Prepare financial data and projections for budget development and reviews. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages.Maintain and update internal financials, including budgets.Review assigned financials, invoices, pricing, estimate to complete (ETC) requests, monthly financial reports, budgets/forecasts, etc.Liaise with the Contracts Department regarding fund limitations and subcontractor/independent consultant (IC) funding requirements.Participate in internal contract kick-off meetings.Review and analyze unbilled amounts.Validate UNANET project profiles for assigned contracts, complete assignments for new project codes, and submit project updates.Conduct financial reconciliations, de-obligations, and contract close-out analysis for completed contracts/contract years.Coordinate with the CFO, Director of Finance and Accounting, and Contracts Department on over/under runs, funding requirements, and contract closeouts.Maintain all F&A files within the established file structure.Qualifications3-4 years of technical experience in Department of Defense contracting, finance, and accounting environments.Willingness to learn and apply critical thinking and analysis skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Effective communication skills with senior and executive personnel, vendors, and employees.Experience working with geographically separated programs and in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.Familiarity with CAAS, GAAP, FAR, DFARs, and JTR.Experience with Cost-Type, Time and Material, and Firm Fixed Price agreements.Experience with accounting systems such as Deltek GCS or Unanet is a plus.Must be a U.S. citizen.Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to interface with internal and external customers, including scheduled and ad hoc meetings.Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile) to meet with customers or personnel.Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds to transport tools and equipment.BenefitsTMB offers the following employee benefits:Health, Dental, and Vision InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts for Medical, Dependent Care, Transportation, and Non-Employer PlansLife and AD&D InsuranceShort- and Long-Term Disability CoveragePaid Holidays and PTORetirement plans including a 401(k) and ESOP #J-18808-Ljbffr
