Your Key ResponsibilitiesChallenge the effectiveness of the tax technology strategy and approach for all engagements while developing strong relationships across a network of existing and future clients and key stakeholders.Identify opportunities for the use of technology to accelerate and enhance delivery of indirect tax services and actively participate as a member of pursuit teams and service delivery teams supporting various client projects, including working with executive-level stakeholders, developing transformative solutions, and fostering deep client relationships.Contribute toward developing a technically diverse and talented team, while handling activities that focus on quality and commercial value. Skills and Attributes for SuccessForward-thinking, self-motivated, and adaptable to learning new skills.Document engagement team and client feedback; identify market events such as new client needs and competitor activity.Develop or enhance proficiency with major technology tools; drive deployment of technology services within pursuit and client service engagement teams.Monitor performance of technology services and communicate to leadership; provide input into thought leadership.Deliver high-quality work products within expected timeframes and budgets; manage risk and keep stakeholders informed.Lead and motivate diverse client engagement teams; take ownership of tasks from requirements through configuration, testing, debugging, and process architecture.Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks using existing financial or tax systems and emerging technologies.Ensure architecture aligns with organizational technology and business strategy; comply with architecture and integration standards; define robust architecture for new applications and reusable components.Collaborate to gather requirements and define architecture to provide system functionality, balancing advocacy and compromise as needed. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in technology, information science, accounting, or finance and a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or a graduate degree with approximately 6 years of related experience.Approved technical certification, CPA license or state Bar membership.Hands-on technical experience with data-driven solutions using modern analytics and AI technologies; experience with Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, or Databricks stack.Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies to optimize business processes.Experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance databases (especially Microsoft SQL Server) to support robust analytics.Strong communication skills for managing executive stakeholders, articulating value propositions, and influencing decisions; ability to explain complex technology architecture to technical and non-technical audiences.Adaptive mindset to evolving customer needs, market conditions, and technology trends; strong organization and time management in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.Leadership experience with cross-functional teams; mentoring and fostering high performance and innovation.Experience implementing software development best practices for quality, maintainability, and scalability.Willingness and ability to travel as required for client engagements.
