DescriptionTower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join one of its trading teams in New York. You will be joining the US Development team and will be in charge of improving the current research framework through the development of existing and new tools, and provide close day-to-day support to the quantitative research team on-site.ResponsibilitiesIterating quickly with on-site quantitative researchers on the research processes in order to improve the desk's quantitative trading strategies P&LDeveloping Python tools used in trading strategies researchImproving the existing simulation and backtest frameworkMonitoring & maintenance of quantitative research jobsHelp global research team on US-related research through various communication channelsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). A Master's degree is preferredStrong knowledge and hands-on experience in PythonExperience in C++ DevelopmentMinimum 5 years experience of production Python developmentExperience with statistical libraries like Numpy, Pandas, and PolarsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and geographically distributed environmentExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesExperience with scripting languages such as BashExperience with workflow management and task schedulingGood knowledge of both Equities and Equity Derivatives tradingAnticipated New York annual base salary of $150,000-$200,000, plus eligible for discretionary bonus.BenefitsTower’s dual offices and garden roofdecks are located in TriBeCa and SoHo, neighborhoods in downtown Manhattan.
