Job Description

This position reports to the Executive Director of Planning, Projects, and Real Estate at Beacon Health System. The role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional team members to build a high-performing team capable of leveraging diverse skill sets in support of departmental initiatives.The individual will lead, manage, and oversee a variety of projects, including small and large capital projects, non-capital initiatives, deferred maintenance efforts, and other departmental priorities. Responsibilities include managing project schedules, budgets, and staffing requirements.This role plays a critical part in driving collaboration across operational leaders, support departments, capital planning teams, and end users, helping to align goals and ensure project success. Be on their team.Strategy DevelopmentDevelop and maintain a strategic system-wide facilities development plan.Lead and establish vision for the Planning, Projects, and Real Estate teams.The position will also be accountable for contracting with and managing architectural firms, construction firms, outsourced project management teams, developers, and various consultants responsible for the design and construction of new facilities, the development of new campus locations, real estate acquisitions, and the renovation of existing facilities.Operations ManagementManage planning, project management, and real estate operations through the development, monitoring and achievement of goals and tactics that support consistent high-quality services and drive operations in alignment with strategic plans.Develop, monitor and manage the budget process in alignment with organizational guidelines.Effectively implement and utilize organizational information systems and data related to operational management. Communicate status of projects to appropriate stakeholders.LeadershipBuild an effective workforce, promote and ensure a positive work environment, influence retention, interpret and apply consistency in managing a diverse qualified, efficient, and engaged workforce.Will oversee Project Managers and support staff.Perform talent management activities for staff and self which focus on orientation, competency, goal setting, leadership and mentoring capabilities, and support of career and growth opportunities.Coach and develop staff by providing effective and timely feedback to include recognizing employees and addressing performance.Relationship ManagementDevelop and communicate challenging performance measures with team to improve outcomes.Create and support a culture that maximizes the acceptance of change.Apply quality and problem-solving tools in leading and collaborating with others to improve outcomes and processes.Effectively utilize organizational information systems and data related to continuous improvement.Seek and find success through collaboration outside of Facilities with end users, operational leaders and executive leadership.Education And ExperienceThe knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below are typically acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or Construction Management. Three to five years of relevant experience is preferred.Knowledge & SkillsRequires a thorough knowledge of applicable building codes, leasing requirements, real estate regulations, contract laws, OSHA requirements, compliance requirements and any other applicable laws and regulations.Demonstrates basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and facilities management.Demonstrates the advanced management, organization and analytical skills necessary to coordinate the daily operation of assigned buildings and properties and effectively administer budgets for the same.Demonstrates the well-developed interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts (i.e., negotiating, persuading, answering complaints, etc.).Demonstrates the excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, necessary to prepare comprehensive reports and make effective recommendations regarding projects, proposals and capital expense requests.Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills (i.e., email, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software).Working ConditionsWorks in an office environment.Some travel to various properties is required.Physical DemandsRequires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.EEO StatementBeacon Health System is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
