Job Description

VP of Reporting, Planning, and Analytics Position purpose: The Vice President of Reporting, Planning, and Analytics is a strategic, data-driven executive leader that will oversee corporate reporting, financial planning, and enterprise analytics to drive performance across the enterprise. The VP will play a critical role in supporting executive decision-making, delivering clear and actionable reviews of financial performance, optimizing clinical and operational outcomes, and ensuring transparency and accountability in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Responsibilities Reporting & Insights: Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide reporting strategies, delivering actionable insights on financial performance, provider productivity, patient volume, operational efficiency, and other key drivers. Establish and enforce data governance and reporting standards across practices, departments, and service lines. Leadership & Strategic Influence: Serve as a key advisor to the finance and executive leadership team, bringing a data-first perspective to strategic planning and operational decision-making. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT leaders to ensure integrated reporting and analytics that span financial, operational, and clinical domains. Foster a culture of data literacy, performance accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. Financial Planning & Analysis: Direct the annual budgeting process, long-range financial planning, and rolling forecasts across the enterprise. Partner with operations finance, clinical and operational leadership, and executive stakeholders to align financial plans with strategic objectives and clinical goals. Lead advanced financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decisions related to provider onboarding, service expansion, practice acquisitions, and capital investment. Business Analytics & Decision Support: Build and lead a high-performing analytics team that supports enterprise-wide initiatives in finance, operations, and clinical performance. Oversee the development of business intelligence tools and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to provide real-time insight into practice operations and performance metrics. Leverage data to inform decisions on payer contracting, patient access, resource utilization, SG&A, and quality outcomes. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field required. 7+ years’ experience in a healthcare-related industry. 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, accounting, FP&A, reporting, or analytics, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in a multi-site physician group or integrated delivery system preferred. Track record of driving performance improvement and strategic growth through data and analytics. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare finance and reporting. Performance Requirements Strong executive presence Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Process orientation with the ability to put plans into action Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and operational issues, both verbally and in writing Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships throughout the organization to achieve common goals Able to motivate others and hold them accountable by monitoring progress/results and giving effective feedback in a timely manner Solid understanding of finance and accounting Strong Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including an intermediate knowledge of Excel and ability to create PowerPoint presentations Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills Proven ability to manage complex processes and influence senior stakeholders Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Anaplan), reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and data platforms Strong understanding of healthcare finance, provider performance metrics, revenue cycle management, and payer dynamics Work Environment and Physical Requirements Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. Work Environment: Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation, stooping and bending to files and supplies, mobility to complete errands, or sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally work environment may be very stressful. Mental/Physical Requirements: Normal office environment. May view computer screens for long periods of time. Occasional evening or weekend work.
