Division Controller

Our Client is a growing, family office and private equity-backed construction and services company with a strong presence in Texas. Headquartered in Plano, the company is expanding rapidly and is supported by a professional and collaborative leadership team.The Branch Accounting Manager / Divisional Controller will oversee all accounting and financial functions for two Houston-area divisions. This role manages full-cycle accounting, including POC accounting, ERP management, KPI tracking, and financial reporting. As a key leader, the successful candidate will guide a small clerical team, ensure accurate reporting to both local and corporate leadership, and play an important role in driving growth.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage full-cycle accounting for two Houston divisions, including POC accountingOversee month-end close, financial reporting, and KPI trackingManage ERP operations, upgrades, and troubleshooting within MS Dynamics Business CentralSupport leadership through reporting at the monthly, quarterly, and annual levelProvide direct oversight and mentorship to a small clerical accounting teamCollaborate with Group Controller (Dallas) and General Manager (Houston) to ensure timely and accurate reportingEnsure compliance with internal financial controls and industry best practicesTravel weekly to a Houston-area branch as needed to support accounting operationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting3–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within construction or a similar industryExperience preparing and analyzing financial statements and reportsStrong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to supervise and develop staffProficiency in MS Dynamics Business Central (required)Advanced Excel and systems expertiseExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsCPA or MBA, or pursuit of either credential, strongly desiredBackground in private equity-backed or growth-focused businessesThis is a full-time, mid-senior level position in the accounting/auditing field within the construction industry. #J-18808-Ljbffr
