You will contribute to the development and implementation of novel immunoassays that enable rapid, unsupervised and robust characterization of cell therapy process intermediates during the manufacturing process. You will work closely with lab automation engineers, analytical development and process development scientists to test and implement novel reagents to streamline sample preparation, data acquisition and data analysis workflow. The candidate will also work with the team to transition from manual to automated workflows as development progresses, characterizing method performance and robustness between the two modes. You will support the qualification of the developed automated assay, ensuring method readiness for manufacturing implementation.This is a 40-hour per-week, 12-month contract (extensions possible), 100% onsite role in Seattle, WA.This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.ResponsibilitiesAnalytical Method Development:Test commercially available reagents for assessment in novel flow cytometry methods.Plan method testing to support thorough screening of sample preparation parameters and their impact on data acquisition/analysis qualitySupport custom reagent testing and streamlining of analytical method to enable operator-free executionExecute analytical method qualification studies to demonstrate readiness for manufacturing implementationData Analysis and ReportingAnalyze experiment data to identify trends, support decision making and determine next stepsPrepare and present data on development progress, analytical method performance across sample types, comparability to existing methods where applicableAuthor technical documents such as method operating procedures, comparability and qualification protocols and reports.Collaboration and Communication:Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.Work with internal collaborators to support method transfer to other sitesRequirements4+ years of experience in cell-based assay development, specifically cell counting and flow-based assaysPrevious experience with flow cytometry assay development for cell characterization, including panel design and sample preparation protocol developmentExperience with method development and qualificationKnowledge of flow cytometry reagents and approaches to support automation and streamlining of methodsPrevious experience with in vitro culture of primary cellsBachelor’s degree in molecular or cellular biology, biomedical engineering, or related disciplinePlease submit your resume to our network at (please apply to the Sr. Associate Scientist - Analytical Automation & Cell Therapy (Onsite-Seattle, WA) role).Please feel free to forward this project opening to others who may be interested.Stage 4 Solutions is an equal-opportunity employer.
