Apply via Dice today!Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is hiring an Associate Scientist, on a contract basis.Job ID: 82822Work Location:Seattle, WA - 100% on siteSummary:The primary focus of this Associate Scientist will be to support process development, production, and characterization of early and late-stage viral vectors (lentiviral vectors and/or adeno-associated viruses). This position will be providing technical subject matter expertise with internal and/or external development and manufacturing collaborators for activities including tech transfer, process characterization, and pre-clinical or clinical process lifecycle management.Education/Experience:B.S. with 2 years of experience or M.S. with 0-2 years of hands-on upstream experienceExperience with suspension culture of mammalian cells in shake flasks and small stirred tank bioreactorsExperience with transient transfection operations to produce viral vectors (e.g. adeno-, retro-, lenti)Hands-on process development experienceIndependently motivated with ability to mulit-task, problem-solve, and coordinate activities within a teamAbility to design experiments with design of experiment (DOE) approaches, perform experiments, and interpret the results using statistical software (ex.
