OverviewLead Front Desk Host position at Speir Pilates, Santa Monica (Ocean Park). This role is part of our frontline team focused on customer service, studio operations, and supporting studio growth.Speir Pilates is a lifestyle pilates brand focused on accessible fitness, quality, diversity, equity and inclusion, and a supportive community where every individual is valued.Summary of responsibilitiesHelp us develop and grow a team: we hire and develop full-time and part-time staff and are committed to building our team together.Operational excellence: oversee day-to-day studio operations by monitoring, auditing, and replenishing supplies to run novate and simplify: collaborate across the organization to find ways to innovate and simplify processes.Drive member retention: foster an inclusive and welcoming environment and ensure current members love the studio while new members see themselves fitting in.Create a safe, healthy and productive culture: maintain a safe environment, oversee repairs/maintenance, ensure cleanliness, and manage supplies, inventory, and waste."How can I help?" mentality: commit to helping each other with kindness, compassion, fun, and respect.About the roleThe Front Desk handles scheduling, client check-ins, studio upkeep, and acts as the sales leader to grow sales and profits. The Front Desk must enjoy interacting with clients, stay calm under pressure, enjoy sales, and be invested in the studio’s profitability and success. As the Lead Front Desk Host, there should be an elevated sense of ownership regarding the studio’s success, team growth, and future of the studio(s).LocationWest Side (Santa Monica on Ocean Park)Duties & responsibilitiesSupport the Director of Sales/Operations with various tasks, including scheduling support for FD Hosts and covering shifts when needed.Follow up with clients around memberships, acquiring new members, and supporting current members.Make calls to members to utilize their packages and celebrate milestone dates to build community.Convert intro visitors or drop-ins to memberships or packages as appropriate.Assist with freezing and cancellation of memberships.Support with supply orders and studio inventory management.Schedule personal, semi-private, and small group sessions for current and future members.Assist with tech programs used in the studio to support internal teams and members.Attend events or help host events for members and prospective members.Be the face of the brand, on-brand, and focused on the community and studio’s best interests.Provide high level customer service in a professional, courteous, sensitive and friendly manner.Maintain a positive energy and a high-end studio feel by remembering clients, answering phones and emails, welcoming guests, resolving conflicts, and supporting teachers.Keep common areas neat and clean; manage periodic cleaning staff.Assist teachers with class setup and reset.Motivate staff with constructive feedback and elevate performance; report deficiencies to management as needed.Actively sell and promote studio products and classes; monitor theft; stay knowledgeable about products and classes.While pilates experience is not required, a strong interest in the product is requested.Maintain accurate data in systems for reporting and analysis; provide feedback as requested.Help organize weekly meetings and special events; assist in leading staff meetings as needed.Perform other tasks to operate the studio and meet company goals.Weekly check-ins with the Regional Manager, fellow leads, and the Director of Sales and Operations.About the companySpeir Pilates is a privately held boutique Pilates studio serving Los Angeles and Orange County, with plans for expansion.
