Job Description

OverviewOversees both Reservations operations and Revenue strategy, ensuring accurate handling of guest bookings, team performance, and optimization of hotel revenue. Analyzes performance data, supports pricing decisions, and collaborates across departments to maximize financial results and guest satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesReservations Operations & Guest ExperienceSupervise the Reservations team (on-site and third-party) to ensure Forbes-level service standards and maximized conversion.Monitor and audit reservation calls, checklists, payments, and policies for compliance and quality control.Act as point of contact for VIPs and extended-stay guests (31+ days), including rate negotiation, contract management, and tailored service.Oversee all internal and external booking channels, ensuring data accuracy, rate parity, and guest experience continuity.Lead ongoing training, performance development, and recognition for the Reservations team.Oversee CRM accuracy for confirmations, rate policies, and cancellation guidelines.Revenue Strategy & AnalysisAssist in daily, weekly, and monthly forecasting of demand and revenue by analyzing pickup trends, booking pace, segmentation, and historical data.Monitor and manage pricing strategies across all channels, ensuring alignment with company philosophy and market dynamics.Optimize room inventory to maximize revenue and minimize displacement.Participate in the development of budgets, business plans, and long-term strategic revenue initiatives.Evaluate competitive market share (STR) and identify opportunities to improve RevPAR and overall performance.Assist with the development and implementation of promotions and packages in collaboration with marketing and e-commerce teams.Maintain and enhance OTA relationships; manage commission reconciliation and online distribution strategies.Build and load rate plans in PMS and CRS systems under the guidance of the Director of Revenue.Support Commercial Strategy team with analytical reports for specific business segments, demand trends, and booking channels.Reporting & CommunicationPrepare and present reporting including:Daily pickup and pace reportsDaily revenue adjustmentsSupplemental revenue capture (no-show, early departure, etc.)Weekly RevMax analysisSTR data and market share trendsMonthly Navis/Revinate performance reportsRepresent the Reservations team in weekly Revenue Strategy meetings, offering insight and frontline feedback.Participate in meetings with OTA and technology partners alongside the Director of Revenue.Essential FunctionsProvide prompt, friendly, and informed guest service via phone, email, and CRM systems.Ensure accuracy of rooming lists, confirmations, payment processing, and special requests.Maintain active communication with Sales, Finance, Front Office, and third-party call centers.Drive ancillary revenue (F&B, spa, events) through proactive conversion and upsell programs.Attend strategy meetings; contribute Reservations insights and action plans.Support operational coverage as needed, including weekends and holidays.QualificationsExperience in Revenue or Reservations leadership.Proficient in Opera Cloud, Excel, and Synxis systems.Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to manage a team and resolve guest or operational issues effectively.Flexible to work varying shifts and business demands.Core CompetenciesAttention to detail and accuracy in high-volume settings.Ability to prioritize, adapt, and maintain calm under pressure.Effective collaborator and team leader.Sound judgment and confidentiality in handling guest and business information.DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Finance and SalesIndustries: HospitalityNewport Beach, CA | $68,640.00–$71,000.00 #J-18808-Ljbffr
