C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.Responsibilities IncludePrepares complete design packages, including construction scope of work, for complex projects that meet design intents and customer expectations. Designs are well coordinated with other departments.Creates lists of engineering deliverables and tasks, and estimates effort hours based on limited scopes of work for complex projects.The Staff Power & Controls Engineer serves as a mentor to junior staff. Assists in the training and development of others. Identifies training needs for the department chief.Creates a plan of execution for large and complex projects, anticipating the sequence of tasks, long lead and special items for the engineering procurement cycle, and dependencies of information from others.Works within the project team to integrate the department plan into a multi-discipline project plan of execution.As a Staff Power & Controls Engineer, this individual prepares computer analyses and calculations.Uses vendor documents, coordination prints, surveys, and models to check dimensions, determine interface points, determine physical space requirements, and provide information to other departments. etc.Specifies process instrumentation (level, pressure, flow, temperature, etc.)Helps develop P&IDs and create typical electrical and instrumentation design documents.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering program with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, or a bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering technology program with 12 years of relevant experience.Ability to travel domestically or internationally to offices, vendor shops, and project sites.
