OverviewJoin to apply for the Transmission Project Development Senior Engineer 1 role at Southern California Edison (SCE).Base pay range$140,400.00/yr - $210,500.00/yrResponsibilitiesOversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment, and reviews grid technologies, building relationships to facilitate cross-functional knowledge transfer of related work groupsLeads the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholdersCollaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure development, integration and implementation of future technologies and asset performance management strategiesAssists in engineering and business initiatives and grid strategies, including development of innovative procedures and design recommendationsProvides support for new equipment installation and startup, then leads handover to ramp and sustaining phasesLeads junior engineers in investigating threats on the distribution system infrastructure based on observations and findingsGathers and analyzes basic data using engineering studies and procedures, including routine/diagnostic testing of components and systemsFacilitates training and professional development opportunities for engineering team membersProtects company assets and properly accessing and managing private customer data and sensitive information with high standards of conduct and integrityMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a scientific/technical/math fieldSeven or more years of engineering experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance environmentsValid Class C Driver’s LicensePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting regulatory testimony and environmental licensingEngineering experience with modeling and power system analyses on transmission systems (50 kV to 500 kV)Experience with +50 kV substation and transmission line designExperience using GE PSLF and/or PowerWorld, PLS-CADD and/or SPIDAProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certificationAdditional InformationHybrid work mode; reporting to an SCE facility with some remote work.
