Our Inspectors are the face of our company, knowledgeable about cars, able to explain to clients what they need to know in a clear way. They are energetic, meticulous, and focused on delivering trust, transparency, credibility and customer service to our customers every day.What you will doActively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experiencePartner with a Territory Manager and a team of Inspectors to conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease sites to detect damage, missing parts and mechanical problemsPrepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documentationHelp sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and productsInterface regularly with dealers to develop client satisfaction and build strong relationshipsTravel to and from dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports, and list vehicles to sell on the auction platformTake multiple photos, match them to a vehicle, and upload them to the image server using the company-issued smartphoneList inspected wholesale vehicles on ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchasingRegister independent dealerships as buyers to use ACV Auctions platformPerform additional duties as assignedWhat you will need1 year of experience in the automobile field (body, paint and mechanical repair knowledge) with customer service experienceAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsProblem-solving aptitude with resourcefulness and innovative approachesAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating in a teamExcellent communication to understand customer needs and expectationsValid driver’s license and an insured, registered vehicleKnowledge of relevant software and web-based applicationsAbility to perform manual labor such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs or more, bending and squattingAbility to drive both manual and automatic transmissionVision sufficient to identify small defects on and under vehiclesCompensationSalary: $23.50 - $25.50 per hour. This position is eligible for additional compensation under ACV’s incentive plan.
