OverviewAre you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about bridge design? We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing design team at VIAS Infrastructure. As we continue to expand, we're seeking someone to play a pivotal role in building our structural practice, mentoring staff, and driving strategic growth in our transportation infrastructure group. This is a high-impact role working closely with the firm's ownership and our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLead structural designs for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation structures for DOT and municipal clientsProvide technical oversight and quality control across all phases of structural projectsAssist in hiring and growing the structural engineering team, including mentoring and training junior staff; help develop internal standards, tools, and workflowsCollaborate directly with owners and senior leadership to shape the future of the structural departmentSupport business development through proposal writing, client outreach, and industry networkingEngage in project pursuits and interviews as a technical leadQualificationsBachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringPE license required (SE preferred or willingness to obtain)10+ years of experience with structural design of transportation infrastructure projectsProven track record of successful delivery for DOT and public sector clientsStrong understanding of AASHTO, LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, and DOT standardsLeadership and mentoring experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEntrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to build a groupSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeBenefitsCompetitive salary with leadership growth potentialFull suite of benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO)Flexible work environment (hybrid options available)Direct collaboration with firm principals and decision-makersOpportunity to shape a structural department from the ground upMeaningful, long-term career path in a values-driven firm #J-18808-Ljbffr
