Through our two business segments, Acuity Brands Lighting (ABL) and Acuity Intelligent Spaces (AIS), we design, manufacture, and bring to market products and services that make a valuable difference in people’s lives.We achieve growth through the development of innovative new products and services, including lighting, lighting controls, building management solutions, and an audio, video and control platform.Job SummaryThe Manager, Electrical Engineering Technicians is a senior-level position that leads a team of technicians who provide front-line support for the design, development, implementation, and sustaining of electronic products and systems, and supports various projects, cross-functional teams, and departments across the organization.Key Tasks & ResponsibilitiesManagement of up to 10 direct report electrical engineering technicians across three locations in the USA.Supervision of their activities at four electrical engineering labs across those three locations in the USA.Define and communicate performance expectations to the technician team, track the progress of individual team members, and provide regular feedback on performance.Coach and motivate the technician team to achieve success.Management of laboratory infrastructure, test equipment, and electronic component stock.Daily hands-on work in a QSC electrical engineering laboratory.Travel to other QSC electrical engineering laboratory locations as needed.EducationBachelor of Engineering in Electrical EngineeringSkills and Minimum Experience RequiredB.S. in Electrical Engineering, or a degree in a related field plus equivalent experience.5+ years of hands-on technical and team leadership experience in an electronic laboratory.A proven successful leader of people, capable of leading by example and motivating via positive feedback.Experience in electronic laboratory management, test equipment calibration and maintenance, and safety requirements.Physical RequirementsLight workTravel Requirements1-20%We value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
