This role is ideal for someone who has transitioned from a software or data background into AI and is passionate about applying cutting-edge technologies in highly regulated industries such as banking or healthcare.You’ll work on impactful use cases-like using Gen AI to extract compliance requirements from regulations or summarize audit reports-to help drive intelligent automation and decision-making across the organization.Must Have Skills:Python 95%Priority will be Gen AI- not tied to specific LLMHighly regulated industry – banking or healthcare is idealCan come from a software or data background as long as they have upskilled into AIUse case example: look at regulation and extract what Amex needs to do to be compliant. Audit is happening – use Gen AI to summarize the reportThe team does 2nd line and 3rd line (compliance and internal audit)Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models with a focus on Generative AI, LangChain, and NLP.Develop solutions that are not tied to a specific LLM, allowing flexibility and tegrate AI/ML capabilities into existing applications in both batch and real-time environments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and compliance support.Write clean, efficient Python code; Java experience is a plus.Create and maintain detailed documentation including model specs, data dictionaries, and code annotations.Optimize and manage data pipelines using SQL (Hive/PySpark); NoSQL experience is a plus.Leverage GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for streamlined development and deployment.Navigate AI/ML governance processes, especially within regulated environments.Stay current with emerging AI technologies and best practices.QualificationsBachelor’s or higher degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LangChain, NLP, and traditional ML algorithms.Strong understanding of software architecture, AI frameworks, and libraries.Experience in regulated industries (banking or healthcare) is highly preferred.Familiarity with Big Data ecosystems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.What We’re Looking For:A creative problem-solver who can translate complex regulations into actionable AI solutions.Someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is comfortable working across disciplines.A self-starter who’s passionate about responsible AI and its real-world applications.UrBench is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse environment.
