For more information, visit .Summary Of PositionAs the Director of Structural Engineering, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating and overseeing all activities, projects and personnel within the structural engineering discipline. This role also focuses on business development strategies, sales forecasting, and the financial and operational management for Core States Group’s Structural Engineering team.Who You AreYou demonstrate the ability to lead, inspire, influence and motivate teams. You align with our Core Values of: Integrity, Service, Excellence, Innovation, Inclusion.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the growth of the practice via business development efforts, including attending marketing functions, industry events, and cross-marketing initiatives with other offices.Build and maintain key relationships with leaders, clients, contractors, and suppliers in the industry.Cultivate long-term client partnerships by ensuring consistent communication, responsiveness, and exceptional service.Direct all aspects of structural engineering consulting services, serving as the primary point of contact for key clients and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely, and compliant solutionsAnalyze data to support decision-making and implement the best practices aligned with key performance indicators and company goals.Manage and be accountable for the overall financial performance of the entire Structural Engineering team.Lead initial program investigations to assess feasibility and requirements.Oversee design and execution with full adherence to state and local codes and permitting requirements.Ensure quality of delivered products and services meet and exceed industry standards through implementation of a thorough QA/QC process.Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.Guide the execution of multiple concurrent programs and clients, maintaining visibility into project progress, potential obstacles, and Company and client expectations.Partner with Directors and technical teams across Core States Group on multi-disciplinary projects to ensure integration and efficiency.Promote a high-performance culture by mentoring staff, developing high-performing teams and supporting ongoing professional municate personnel needs to the Senior Director of Engineering and Human Resources, and participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of candidates.Other duties as requiredQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil (with structural concentration) or Structural Engineering is requiredLicenses: P.E. required, S.E. preferred15+ years of structural engineering project and/or program management, preferably with commercial programs such as retail or restaurants8+ years of supervisory experienceCompetency in extreme climates and environmental conditions including high winds and seismicMS Office requiredFamiliar with AutoCAD and Revit a plusTeamYou will work with a team of Designers, Architects and Engineers.
