Its employees consistently rank Moss as one of the best places to work.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFamiliar with utility scale solar project designs including single line drawings, civil, structural, electrical site plans, DC and AC wiring diagrams and equipment layoutsUnderstand the construction applications of solar power plant design, including PV string sizing, DC and AC conductor and conduit sizing, and racking/tracker design and poweringPossess a knowledge of electrical and system studies required for plant designsPossess a general knowledge of civil designs including road design, plant grading design, drainage design, and permitting coordinationComfortable traveling cross-country to perform site visits and provide technical support to construction teamsHave experience with substation design review and coordination at medium voltages (usually 34.5 kV) to point of interconnectOrganizing and drafting engineering related RFI’s and handling high level problem solving in coordination with pre-construction and operational counterpartsHave direct and relevant experience with the latest solar and battery storage equipment including solar panels, inverters/transformers, racking systems and battery systemsGeneral knowledge of solar plant SCADA requirements and designAbility to develop, review, and approve engineering scope of work documents for external engineering partnersOther duties may be assignedEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEMinimum Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical field, or related disciplineMinimum 3 years’ experience in the solar construction industry or direct engineering managements on solar construction projects - solar experience is requiredMust have great attitude in working with the Moss teamKnowledge of electrical design, materials, and methods of construction in power systemsSolar electrical systems backgroundThorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) as it relates to utility scale power plants is a plusGood communications and presentation skills including the ability to organize and present complex technical information effectively in Excel, Word, and PowerPointHighly organized and able to multi-task multiple projects at onceJOB TITLE: ENGINEERING LEADJOB LOCATION: FORT LAUDERDALE, FLCLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME – EXEMPT – SALARIEDREPORTS TO: SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER Moss is an equal opportunity employer.
