OverviewMaster AV Technician/Mechanic (Electric/Autonomous Vehicle) — Amerit Fleet Solutions. We are hiring a skilled Autonomous Vehicle Service Technician/Mechanic to repair, maintain, and retrofit our fleet of Electric Autonomous Vehicles (EV/AV). The ideal candidate is an experienced technician with a growth mindset, eager to advance in a dynamic and cutting-edge industry.ResponsibilitiesAssist technician team with service and repair of electrical, mechanical, and integration issues on autonomous vehicles and their equipmentPerform software and firmware updatesFollow processes and document potential improvements and issuesCollaborate with internal engineering and service teams to troubleshoot and diagnose issuesCreate repair orders, document work performed (diagnosis, procedures, and parts required)Create issue tickets with engineering teams and follow up on open issuesWork with safety as a top priorityParticipate in continuing education and trainingAssist with fleet-wide hardware and software retrofitsQualifications4 - 8 years of experience working on cars (brakes, advanced suspension, alignment, electrical repair and diagnosis, software/firmware updates, diagnose nuanced mechanical, electrical, and A/C systems; complex HW retrofits and AV hardware replacement; diagnostic on nuanced AV and EV systems)Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and automotive shop equipmentHands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and software components and understanding of their interactionsStrong computer skills and aptitude to learn new technologyImpeccable communication skillsLearning mindset with openness to constructive feedbackSafety and quality-focused work ethicAbility to give and receive clear verbal and written directivesRegular physical work capacity (stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds)Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detailA plus: experience with sensors/calibration and/or autonomous automotive field; dealership training and automotive experience; Linux, Java, Python, C++, Jira, Confluence, G-Suite, and Slack familiarity; experience diagnosing and repairing electric/hybrid vehicles; ASE certificationsWorking conditions include exposure to traffic, dust, diesel fumes, noise, chemicals, and need to access equipment in various environmentsBenefitsCompetitive hourly pay; paid weeklyFull benefits within 30 days (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, prescription)401(k) match programPaid vacation, holidays, and sick timeSafety-focused benefits (boot and prescription safety glasses reimbursement)Extensive training through Amerit UniversityEmployee referral program (up to $1,000)ASE certification program with fee reimbursement and bonusEmployee recognition program with rewardsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) and 24/7 nurse triageEmployee discounts on cell service and entertainment ticketsEmployee resource groups (ERGs) and wellness programsJob detailsShift options: Sunday - Thursday 6:00am–2:30pm or Tuesday – Saturday 6:00am–2:30pmLocation: Brooklyn, NY #J-18808-Ljbffr
