OverviewThe onsite Lead Consultant is knowledgeable in all areas of the onsite’s business and performs all functions of the Onsite Consultant in environments including production, mailroom, shipping and/or retail services based on the customer business need. This role may be customer-facing and should consistently deliver a positive customer experience, provide pricing information, and recommend FedEx Office products and services. The position may be production-focused, producing complex orders and operating equipment that requires advanced operational knowledge. The Lead Consultant provides direction and training to the team and assists the FedEx Office leadership team in managing, monitoring, and facilitating processes across work streams.Location: Hutchinson, KS (on-site role). ResponsibilitiesFollows FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adheres to legal, HR, safety and security policies.Follow supervisor instructions and assist team members in performing onsite functions.Meet onsite guidelines and policies (safety training, background checks, and other requirements).Maintain a neat, safe, and efficient working environment.Maintain high levels of customer service and use sound judgment to resolve issues; escalate as needed.Provide customer service and support consultants with solutions, including problem solving, with minimal supervision.Perform multiple tasks concurrently and assist in training onsite team members.Ensure confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages.Perform administrative duties, including ordering supplies and inventory control.Collaborate with office and print locations to produce customer work and fulfill needs.Provide leadership to team members on an assigned shift when applicable.Ensure cross-shift communication where applicable.Production duties include producing complex orders, prioritizing production, performing quality checks, coordinating pickups and deliveries, operating equipment, and ensuring LEAN principles to achieve on-time quality results.Operate Digital and Signs & Graphics printers, bindings and related equipment.Monitor production flow and ensure quality during and after production.Set up and operate equipment, including maintenance tasks.Adopt LEAN practices to deliver timely results.Shipping & Mailroom duties include coordinating all mail and shipping activities, handling pickups/deliveries, packaging, labeling, mail processing, and tracking of parcels.Provide customer service by explaining shipping methods, routes, and rates.Use tracking systems and appropriate equipment to handle packages efficiently.Retail duties include providing friendly, consultative service, recommending FedEx Office products, accurately handling complex orders and pricing information, and operating the Point of Sale when applicable. QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.2+ years of specialized experience preferred (note: there is a separate section indicating 1+ year in other parts; this reflects standard job posting variance).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software quickly.For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring; current team members must meet transfer criteria as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.Essential FunctionsAbility to bend/twist at waist and knees on a consistent basis.Strong communication with customers, vendors, and team members.Ability to perform work with cooperation and instruction.Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.Work with minimal supervision and adhere to established hours to support the FedEx Office business.Regular attendance at a physical location or established hours as required.
