Houston, Tx 77079Responsibilities:Process and post billing statements manually and electronically.Accept and reconcile payments from patients and insurance providers.Prepare and manage payment batches and deposits.Conduct audits of billing cycles to ensure accuracy and compliance.Review and assess Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from insurance companies.Maintain accurate billing records and report discrepancies to accounting.Create and submit invoices according to company protocols.Update and maintain customer files, including changes in contact or billing information.Research and resolve payment discrepancies.Monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collections.Process account adjustments and assist with month-end closing procedures.Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets.Collaborate with internal teams to support financial reporting and compliance.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.1-3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or general accounting.Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is a plus.Requirements:Strong organizational and time-management skills.Proficiency in data entry and typing (minimum 45-60 WPM).Keen attention to detail and accuracy.Familiarity with EOBs and insurance billing procedures.Knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting practices.Ability to manage a high volume of work efficiently.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Office 365 and financial software systems.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
