Role overviewSpecialist Director, Transition and Lean Transformation – KPMG Advisory, Managed ServicesKPMG Advisory practice is currently our fastest growing practice. We foster a collaborative, team-driven culture with a strong emphasis on learning, development, and integrity.KPMG is seeking a Specialist Director, Transition and Lean Transformation to join our Managed Services practice.ResponsibilitiesAccountable for management and execution of transition management and transition projects.Provide support for project governance, planning, risk and issue tracking, status reporting, and operational readiness; work with stakeholders from KPMG and client teams to plan and deliver on Management and Transition projects, leveraging Management and Transition Playbooks and related materials.Contribute to the development and enhancement of new solutions by providing Management and Transition requirements and reviewing solution designs with the engineering team; participate in pre-sales and sales processes by contributing to proposal materials.Drive continuous improvement of Management and Transition processes; support updates to frameworks and playbooks based on client experience.Maintain an AI-first and value-driven mindset to identify lean transformation opportunities to standardize, automate, and innovate during transitions and beyond to enhance efficiency and scalability.Navigate ambiguity and drive strategic outcomes with hands-on execution.Operate with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold a respectful work environment.QualificationsMinimum eight years of recent experience in project implementation, project and program management, with domain knowledge in financial services; cyber and cloud-based SaaS experience preferred.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or advanced degree preferred; certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent preferred; CAPM or progress toward PMP acceptable.Background in a client-facing environment with technology or digital experience in a Big Four or equivalent environment preferred.Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing large-scale transitions across geographies in a global matrixed environment preferred.Understanding of shared services, managed services, outsourcing; exposure to digital transformation, automation, and analytics in BPO/KPO settings preferred.Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and work effectively at all levels.Ability to travel as necessary.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.KPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding salary disclosure.
