This position focuses on corporate governance, litigation, commercial transactions, employment law, regulatory tracking and strategic legal initiatives, while partnering closely with a peer Deputy General Counsel who leads insurance regulatory and compliance matters.Job DescriptionThe Deputy General Counsel – Corporate Legal Affairs plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the legal functions of The Mutual Group, as a services provider to mutual insurance carriers. This position focuses on corporate governance, litigation, commercial transactions, employment law, regulatory tracking and strategic legal initiatives, while partnering closely with a peer Deputy General Counsel who leads insurance regulatory and compliance matters.Reporting to the Chief Legal Counsel, this role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic legal guidance that supports innovation, growth, and operational excellence.
