Applicants must have at least 5 years of sophisticated commercial real estate leasing experience, including in the retail, industrial, and office sectors. Specific experience with the negotiation of leases, amendments, waivers, estoppels, subordination, and termination agreements is required. Additional transactional experience, including drafting purchase and sale agreements, is preferred. Prior experience working in-house with a real estate company or at a large or sophisticated boutique law firm is preferred. This is an on-site position in Central West Florida. Strong relocation candidates will be considered.Responsibilities of the Commercial Real Estate Leasing Attorney (In-House Counsel):Handle a wide range of complex commercial real estate leases, including in the retail, industrial, and office sectorsReview, negotiate, and prepare leases, amendments, waivers, estoppels, subordination, and termination agreementsAnticipate and identify legal risks, and develop strategies, policies, and processes to ensure company and legal complianceKeep up to date, and provide legal advice, on developments in the law to ensure continuous company improvementWork closely with and support the business team as neededRequirements for the Commercial Real Estate Leasing Attorney (In-House Counsel):5+ years of sophisticated commercial real estate leasing experience, preferably in-house with a real estate company or at a large or sophisticated boutique law firmAdditional experience with real estate transactional matters is preferredExcellent academic credentials from a U.S. accredited law schoolOutstanding referencesLicensed and in good standing in Florida and/or able to become Authorized House Counsel in FloridaPosition Details for the Commercial Real Estate Leasing Attorney (In-House Counsel):Type of Role: PermanentSchedule: Full-TimeLocation: On-site in Central West FloridaCompensationPay: The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000.
