Job Description

You will be a Cyber Software Engineer for a research and development team which is responsible for investigating and exploiting the newest technological advances to resolve complex problems.What You Will Be DoingAs a AI‑Enabled Cyber Software Engineer, you will fuse advanced AI/ML techniques with cyber‑software development to create intelligent, adaptive solutions. You’ll work closely with customers throughout the development life‑cycle, turning AI research breakthroughs into operational capabilities.Your responsibilities will include:Design, develop, and integrate AI/ML models (e.g., anomaly detection, threat‑intel extraction, generative‑AI code analysis) into cyber‑software corporate security considerations throughout the software development lifecycle (threat modeling, AI‑driven hardening, automated code reviews, vulnerability assessments, adversarial‑ML testing).Researching and developing new software and AI/ML technologies with a cyber lens to resolve complex tegrate security considerations throughout the software development lifecycle (threat modeling, hardening, code reviews, vulnerability assessments).Collaborating with customers throughout the development life-cycle to ensure innovative solutions meet their needs.Contributing to a team environment that values innovation, creativity, and teamwork.Participating in the development of outstanding team culture, quickly adapting to evolving customer requirements.Utilizing curiosity, dedication, and a one-team focus to enable the most creative solutions.What’s In It For YouWe are committed to supporting your work-life balance and overall well-being, offering flexible scheduling options. You should be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, quickly adapting to evolving customer requirements, and thrive in a team that values innovation, creativity, and teamwork.EligibilityMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - The selected candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility to start.Basic Qualifications:Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility required prior to start.Hands‑on experience with at least one of the following AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, ONNX, Scikit‑learn.Experience building or deploying a local AI stack such as: Ollama, LocalAI, LangChain, or comparable open‑source frameworks.Fluent in two or more programming languages, e.g.: C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby.Expertise with one or more operating systems: Linux, Unix, macOS, Windows, Android, iOS.Hands‑on experience using configuration‑management tools such as: Git, SVN, TFS, Mercurial.Formal education or professional experience in a relevant field: Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.Desired Skills:Demonstrated experience integrating AI/ML models (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, LangChain) into production‑grade applications.Strong team orientation – ability to collaborate across cyber, data‑science, and hardware groups and quickly assimilate new concepts.Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of translating complex AI techniques to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Passion for exploring emerging technologies such as generative AI, foundation models, and edge‑AI runtimes.Proficiency with Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban) and iterative delivery cycles.Solid foundation in cyber‑security principles (threat modeling, secure coding, vulnerability assessment).Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
