Theatre Arts Production & Design- Faculty Master Electrician Instructor Pool-Part-TimeSPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS SUMMARYThis recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSExamples of essential functions are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.JOB DESCRIPTIONSelect Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:20 AM-1:50 PM in the Fall and 8:30 AM-11:00 AM in the Spring and occasional Saturdays 9 AM-5 PM.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSThe award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in any discipline AND two years of professional experience OR Associate degree in any discipline AND six years of professional experience OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONSPrior teaching and/or crew leadership experience within the area of theatrical and event lighting. Strong working knowledge and experience with ETC lighting consoles, lighting networking, and various intelligent lighting fixtures.Prior teaching and/or crew leadership experience within the area of theatrical and event lighting.Strong working knowledge and experience with ETC lighting consoles, lighting networking, and various intelligent lighting fixtures.Knowledge of show control protocols and system integration.Working experience in working with DMX peripherals, practical wiring, general electrical codes utilized within the entertainment industry, and maintaining industry excepted best practices.Experience driving and supervising the safe operation of Ariel Work Plateforms (AWP) / Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs).Commitment to diversity: All applicants must have demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff. #J-18808-Ljbffr
