Job Title: Electrical Technician Job Description Assemble control panels, electronic breadboards, and other electrical components according to company specifications. Build custom PC boards, cables, harnesses, electronic, and electro-mechanical test equipment based on engineering specifications. Modify existing Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) and Flexible Circuit Assemblies (FCA) by cutting and adjusting jumpers, and replace or remove electrical components as needed. Troubleshoot electrical and system issues by wiring products and using test equipment to isolate failures. Operate various electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, function generators, ESD guns, and power supplies. Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures. Responsibilities * Assemble control panels, electronic breadboards, and other electrical components to company specifications. * Build custom PC boards, cables, harnesses, electronic, and electro-mechanical test equipment to engineering specifications. * Cut and modify jumpers on existing PCBAs and FCAs. * Replace and remove electrical components on PCBAs and FCAs. * Troubleshoot electrical and system issues to isolate failures by wiring up products and monitoring test equipment. * Operate electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, function generators, ESD guns, and power supplies. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by providing recommendations and implementing method and procedure enhancements. Essential Skills * Minimum of 1 year experience as a technician. * Minimum of 1 year experience reading electrical schematics. * Minimum of 1 year experience building and troubleshooting cables and wiring harnesses. * Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, function generators, and ESD guns. * Ability to assemble control panels and wiring harnesses. * Understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Electrical Technician Associate's degree or two-year certificate in a related field preferred. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Work Environment The role involves working in an R&D environment building prototypes. Collaboration with engineers and other technicians is a core aspect of the job. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Brighton, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
