Open positions include: CNC Lathe Machinist CNC Mill Machinist Conventional Lathe Machinist Wheel Setup Machinist Each role plays a vital part in our precision manufacturing operations — offering hands-on work, technical challenge, and opportunities for growth.1️⃣ CNC Lathe Machinist Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes for precision aerospace and wheel components Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T Perform offsets, edits, and minor program changes Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and precision tools Ensure parts meet tight aerospace tolerances and surface finish standards Qualifications 3+ years of CNC lathe experience preferred Familiarity with aerospace or automotive materials and tooling best practices2️⃣ CNC Mill Machinist Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines Load programs, adjust speeds and feeds, and perform in-process inspections Change and set tooling for a variety of materials Maintain tight tolerances on complex, short-run components Qualifications 3+ years of CNC milling experience preferred Experience with tight-tolerance, high-precision parts a plus3️⃣ Conventional Lathe Machinist Key Responsibilities Operate large manual lathes for turning operations Machine custom tooling and components used in forging and forming Collaborate with engineers and machinists to improve machining processes Read engineering prints and machine to specified tolerances Qualifications 5+ years of conventional machining experience required Skilled with large steel alloys, tooling, and custom components4️⃣ Wheel Setup Machinist Key Responsibilities Prepare and assemble tooling and fixtures for wheel machining jobs Set up and align part programs and cutting tools for precision machining Work with programmers and engineers to streamline setup processes Track tooling usage, part performance, and process improvements Qualifications Experience in wheel machining or high-precision manufacturing preferred Understanding of CNC operations and setupsGeneral Requirements (All Roles) High school diploma or GED required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Proficient in blueprint reading and precision measurement tools Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindset Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as neededWhy Join AST Work with cutting-edge aerospace and automotive technologies Join a fast-growing company with room for advancement Collaborative, hands-on environment focused on craftsmanship and precision Full benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Company-Paid Life & Disability Insurance Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick LeavePay Range:$25 – $42 per hour (based on experience, skill level, and department)Schedule:Monday–Friday | Full-Time | 1st & 2nd Shifts | Overtime AvailableBe Part of Something That Moves the World If you’re a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision and wants to work on aerospace and performance wheel projects, AST is the place to build your career.
