This is a pivotal role within a team undergoing transformation, where strong leadership, technical expertise in Oracle Fusion, and excellent communication skills will be key to success.Lead day-to-day payroll operations and compliance for 5,000+ employees across all US states, in a heavily unionized environment, with a large hourly-rate population and high turnover across multiple legal entitiesLead and develop a team of payroll professional, with a focus on knowledge transfer, accountability, and growthOversee multiple payrolls (weekly and bi-weekly) for hourly, unionized and salaried employeesEnsure seamless and accurate onboarding and offboarding of a high volume of employees on a weekly basis, including compliance with states requiring same-day termination payStrengthen SOPs, drive accuracy, and ensure compliance through reconciliation, validation, and variance analysisPartner with HR and business leaders to rebuild trust, enhance controls, and deliver a reliable payroll experienceActively contribute to payroll systems improvements, testing, and integrations (Oracle Fusion, UKG, ADP)Oversee a hybrid payroll ***** in-house processing with ADP support for tax compliance, garnishments, and money movementCertified Payroll Professional (CPP)Proven experience managing large, complex, multi-state payrolls (5,000+ employees)Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-turnover, unionized environments with large hourly-rate populationsStrong working knowledge of Oracle Fusion payroll (implementation and testing experience highly valued)Demonstrated success leading through change, improving processes, and building scalable payroll operations
