About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. This is a critical role for a senior finance executive with strong operational expertise who can seamlessly connect financials to business strategy and firm operations. The CFO will provide financial leadership, operational insight, and data-driven guidance to support the continued growth and success of the firm. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the firm’s overall financial strategy, planning, and execution. Partner with senior leadership to align financial management with operational priorities, practice group performance, and firmwide goals. Translate financial data into actionable insights for business units and projects. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. Optimize financial systems, processes, and reporting tools to enhance data-driven decision-making. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular analysis to improve operational efficiency and profitability. Manage relationships with banking, audit, tax, and external financial partners. Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and operations team. Qualifications15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally with exposure to law firms, professional services, or project-driven businesses. Proven track record of connecting financial strategy to operational outcomes. Strong operational expertise with the ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Excellent analytical skills and deep experience working with financial data to guide business decisions. Exceptional business sense with the ability to understand and support the firm’s strategic objectives. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred. **Washington, D.C.
