Senior Director, Prospect Strategy and Management The Senior Director, Prospect Strategy and Management is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the HSS Development Department moves management program, which includes proactive prospecting, assignment, tracking of opportunities, and reporting on pipeline movement and development. The Senior Director creates actionable strategies for individual and organizational prospects in relation to fundraising priorities in partnership with frontline fundraisers at the major, principal, and transformational gift levels. This role provides analysis of overall prospect pools and targeted groups to support campaign planning, revenue projections, and gift officer performance metrics. The successful candidate will be a leader with proven experience and success in partnering with gift officers on strategy at the major, principal, and transformational gift levels. The Senior Director reports directly to the Assistant Vice President, Development Operations and closely collaborates with the Executive Director of Prospect Research, Director of Operations, Director of Fundraising Analytics and Department Leadership. This role may supervise additional professionals as needed to provide the best business solutions for the Department. This position is onsite with occasional remote work flexibility. HSS DEVELOPMENT The HSS Development Department raises $80 million per year on average to advance the HSS mission. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and implement a moves management system, regularly assessing its efficiency and taking initiative to enhance it. Act as a dedicated advocate and resource for the moves management philosophy, motivating fundraising staff to act, engage prospects and donors, and consistently record all pertinent activities in the database.Work with frontline fundraisers to monitor progress, ensure timely follow-up, and adjust strategies as needed to move prospects through the pipeline.Provide strategic assistance and collaboration to fundraisers by gaining a comprehensive knowledge of each fundraiser's prospect pool, both assigned and unassigned, ensuring annual goals are set properly and met effectively.Establish and nurture strong collaborations with frontline fundraisers to oversee their prospect portfolios. Provide support for portfolio prioritization and goal setting. In partnership with Prospect Research create prospect-specific strategies through regular portfolio consultation meetings.Manage workflow for proactive prospect identification system for identifying new prospects using a variety of techniques including analysis, data analytics, and data mining to successfully execute the flow of prospects into and through the pipeline. Responsible for the movement of prospects between giving levels and determining the best portfolio for the prospect based on their readiness and capacity to support the HSS funding priorities.Working with the Director, Campaigns, conduct pre-campaign assessments, including analysis of gift potential of prospect pool, and support the strategy and execution for campaign.Help measure effectiveness of ongoing and post-campaign efforts including overall achievement, prospect demographics, prospect pool utilization and evaluation of fundraiser performance by being the data steward for portfolio management data.Collaborate with Prospect Research and Data Analytics to ensure alignment and efficiency in the prospect identification, qualification, and pipeline movement across all giving levels.Provide analysis and strategic assessment to senior leadership of prospect and donor trends related to the prospect fundraising cycle.Create and monitor compliance of the prospect management policies. Responsible for the documentation and the ongoing training for all processes and procedures related to prospect management and portfolio maintenance.Provide support and educational opportunities on portfolio management tools to frontline fundraisers and development associates.Achieve continuous learning in best practices in prospect and portfolio management, including advances in automation across multiple data sources. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.7+ years of related experience required, preferably in a health system, an academic medical center or hospital fundraising. Preference given for experience developing and implementing a moves management puter proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office; Relational Databases like RENXT; Lexis-Nexis; prospect management and research PETENCIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICSDemonstrated organization and planning skills; strong follow-up and follow-through to ensure personal, team, and organizational objectives.Proven success at establishing and achieving quantifiable objectives.Strong written and oral communication skills to interact effectively across teams and with a diverse group of individuals. Pay Range - Maximum USD $175,000.00/Yr.
